JKBOPEE Announces Online Registration for NEET UG-2024 Candidates from J&K and Ladakh
JKBOPEE Announces Online Registration for NEET UG-2024 Candidates from J&K and Ladakh
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has opened online registration for NEET UG-2024 candidates from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This announcement follows the re-revised results of NEET UG-2024 released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on July 26, 2024, and is detailed in JKBOPEE’s Notification No. 068-BOPEE of 2024 dated August 9, 2024.
Candidates who have qualified for the NEET UG-2024 by meeting the NTA’s cutoff marks, and whose names are listed in Annexure-A of the earlier notification, as well as those who have since submitted necessary documents, are required to register online.
The registration window is open from August 19 to August 23, 2024 (midnight). During this period, candidates must upload essential documents, including their NEET-UG 2024 scorecard, 10+2 marks card, domicile certificate (for J&K/Ladakh), category certificate (if applicable), and date of birth certificate.
For Ladakh candidates, an additional requirement is the submission of a Compulsory Service Bond, which will be available in the Information Brochure to be uploaded on the JKBOPEE’s official website. The cutoff scores for various categories are as follows: Open Merit and related categories (162), Open Merit/EWS & PwD (144), and SC/ST/OBC/other reserved categories (127).
JKBOPEE has advised candidates to carefully read the e-Information Brochure available on their website before starting the registration process. No provisional certificates will be accepted, and category certificates must be issued before the registration deadline. Additionally, candidates must meet all the eligibility criteria outlined in both the NTA’s NEET UG-2024 Information Brochure and the JKBOPEE guidelines.
Candidates found ineligible at any stage will be excluded from the counseling process, regardless of their NEET qualifying score. It is also important for candidates to ensure the accuracy of their email addresses and mobile numbers during registration, as these will be used for important communications.
After the registration period ends, JKBOPEE will publish a Provisional UT Merit List (PUTML) that will be used for the online counseling process. Candidates are urged to complete their registration as early as possible, as late registration could negatively impact their chances of admission.
Candidates interested in applying for NRI/HM quota seats at ASCOMS, Jammu, must also register online through this notification. However, they will be required to submit their documents offline at the JKBOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar by a separate deadline, which will be announced later.
JKBOPEE has emphasized that mere submission of the application form and registration does not guarantee admission. Admission will depend on meeting all eligibility requirements and document verification at the time of admission to the respective colleges.
For more information, candidates are advised to regularly visit the JKBOPEE website, as publication delays in newspapers may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
