Major Reshuffle: 33 Officers Transferred in J&K

Srinagar, August 16: The government announced on Friday the transfer of 33 civil officers across Jammu and Kashmir, effective immediately, as part of its administrative reshuffling efforts.

Following two separate orders that closely follow the transfer of 89 officers on August 15, several notable postings were made. Abid Iqbal Malik, who was serving as the Deputy District Election Officer in Ganderbal, has now been reassigned as Deputy Director of Tourism in Kashmir. In a corresponding move, Malik Waseem Ahmad, who held the Deputy Director of Tourism role, will now take on Malik’s previous position as Deputy District Election Officer in Ganderbal.

Vishavjeet Singh has been moved from his position as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board to become Secretary of the Jammu Development Authority. Similarly, Rehana Akhtar Bijli, formerly the Personnel Officer at Associated Hospital in Jammu, has been assigned as Deputy Secretary in the Social Welfare Department.

Other key transfers include Sahil Jandyal, who has moved from Secretary of the Jammu Development Authority to Deputy Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department, and Suhail-ul-Islam, who has been reassigned from Deputy Secretary of the Forest, Ecology, and Environment Department to Secretary of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.

Mantasa Binti Rashid, previously Deputy Director of Tourism in Kashmir, is now appointed as Deputy Director of Rural Sanitation in Kashmir. Athar Amin Zargar, who was awaiting a new assignment, has been posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Marh, where he will also temporarily assume the duties of Sub-Registrar.

Further orders include Sanina Khan’s transfer from Deputy Director of Rural Sanitation in Jammu to Deputy Director of Administration in the Directorate of Social Welfare, Jammu. Additionally, Manu Hansa, who previously served as SDM Marh, will now be the Deputy Director of Tribal Affairs in Jammu.

A variety of other officers have also seen changes in their positions. For example, Nasir Mehmood Khan has been reassigned from Assistant Commissioner in Srinagar to Deputy Director of Tourism in Kashmir. Meanwhile, Arun Kumar Badyal has shifted from SDM Gandoh to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

Several additional postings were announced, such as Musharraf Ali Haf, who moves from Assistant Commissioner Panchayat in Doda to SDM Gandoh, and Bashir Ahmad Padder, who has taken over as Assistant Commissioner in Srinagar.

The reshuffling extends to several more officers across various departments, emphasizing the government’s continued effort to optimize administrative efficiency in the region. All transfers are to be implemented immediately, with some officers temporarily handling additional duties until further instructions are issued.
