J&K Govt Employees to Enroll Their Children in Govt Schools Under New Proposal
Srinagar, 12 Aug: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has introduced a new directive concerning the enrolment of children of government employees in government schools. On January 26, 2024, the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat at Raj Bhavan, Jammu and Kashmir, sent a formal proposal via email to the School Education Department.
The email outlines a proposal advocating for the compulsory enrolment of children of government employees in government-run educational institutions.
This measure aims to support and enhance the quality of public education by increasing student enrollment in government schools and ensuring that the children of those who serve in the public sector benefit from the same educational resources.
The directive has been forwarded to the Administrative Secretary of the School Education Department with instructions to evaluate the proposal and implement the necessary actions according to established regulations.
Furthermore, the School Education Department is required to provide a detailed report on the actions taken in response to this directive.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the public education system and ensuring equal access to quality education for all, including the families of government employees.
