Government Orders Transfers and Postings in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, August 16, 2024 — The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through its General Administration Department (Services), has announced a series of transfers and postings involving key officials. The changes, which are aimed at streamlining administrative functions, are effective immediately.

According to Government Order No.1526-JK(GAD) of 2024, the following adjustments have been made:

1. Mr. Suresh Chander, JKAS: Previously serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Samba, has been transferred and appointed as Additional Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department.
2. Mr. Prem Singh, JKAS: Former General Manager of the District Industries Centre (DIC) in Kathua, has been reassigned as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur.
3. Mr. Mohammad Ashraf, JKAS: The Joint Director of Education in Poonch, is now appointed as General Manager, DIC, Kathua.
4. Mr. Jagdish Singh, JKAS: Previously Additional Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department, has been transferred and will assume the role of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Samba.
5. Mr. Joginder Singh Jasrotia, JKAS: The former Additional Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur, has been transferred and posted as Joint Director, Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Jammu, against an available vacancy.

These administrative changes have been ordered by the Lieutenant Governor and are expected to enhance the efficiency of various departments across the region.
